Map of the
L. & N.W. Railway
and Connections.
Printed by McCorquodale & Co., Limited, London.
c1904.
Selling here is a superb large folding colour printed L. & N.W.R. map of The British Isles, printed by McCorquodale & Co., Ltd, c1904.
The map showing both Llangynog (Tanat valley extension opened January 1904) and Waterhouses (Leek & Manifold Valley Light Railway and North Staffordshire Summer 1905) are missing from the map but Llanfair Caereinion and Lybster opened in April and July 1903 are included. Therefore this would suggest that the plates were made in the Autumn of 1903.
It has been disected into twenty five sections and laid onto linen, folding down into its original gilt lettered burgundy textured cloth boards. Original light blue endpaper.
The map measures 85cm by 105cm when unfolded and 19cm by 23cm when folded down into its binding.
